Jeroen Fransen was educated at 'Le Pavegnon'
professional Theater studies of Josja Hamann Amsterdam and at Post St.Joost, Breda Academy for fine arts, Master course at Piet Zwart Institute Rotterdam. Bachlor and teaching degree at the Academy for visual Arts in Tilburg.
He received grants from the Center for Visual Arts Dordrecht for a residency at Kunstfabrik Am Flutgraben in Berlin. As well, the ‘Start Stipendium’ from Fonds voor Beeldende Kunst Vormgeving en Bouwkunst Amsterdam (fund for Visual arts in Amsterdam) and grants from Amsterdam's Foundation for the Arts (Amsterdam Fonds Voor de Kunst). He presented in more then 50 Exhibitions and performance art projects Internationally.
Jeroen is working regularly on multidisciplinary, physical theater and visual art performances in different locations and set ups.
Jeroen is a co-founder and artistic director of GrossDanceCompany. He is collaborating with Choreographer Sagi Gross since 2007. In 2015 Gross & Frnasen have created 'Silent force' a dance film which was presented at the prestigious Louvre museum in Paris, in combination with a live performance on and off the screen. The film was also presented during Cinedans festival in Eye film institute in Amsterdam.
